CXV Shell

Two vacuform pulls from a conical form were made in hopes of producing a full capsule hull closeable with magnets. The final model would use only the starboard half, but additional copies of the model could be made with both halves detailed.

CXV Early Part Fit

One of the vacuform half-shells is filled with parts fabricated from sheet styrene, EMA tubing and hemispherical end caps.

CXV Primered Assembly and Small Parts

The internal assemblies of the CXV have been primered and dry fit again. The small parts include avionics boxes, solar panels, various wall parts and hatches, and a toilet.

CXV Aft Bulkhead

The aft bulkhead, minus the entry hatch and parachute tunnel cover.

CXV Finished - Aft View

The spacecraft is on its brass mount rod and wooden base with brass name plate. A Sokol-type spacesuited figure is seen in the sling-like acceleration seat. The solar panels depicted on the T/Space website have been fabricated but are not yet attached in these views.

CXV Side View

The crew figure is more clearly seen; three additional figures in their rotatable fabric seats will be added.
