This is one of our most recent terrain plaques, derived from Voyager flyby and Galileo orbiter imagery of Jupiter's largest moon. This model features a combination of rough cratered and grooved terrain.

The master model for this terrain plaque has been sculpted by planetary artist David Angus, who is also responsible for the masters of Tohil Mons (Io), Titan, and Europa.
